Abstract

The article describes the method of testing concrete for capillary permeability. Results of carried out studies on determination of capillary suction (Wbs) of saline solution during evaporation and establishment of cyclic temperature regime are given. It has been found that in order to reliably evaluate the capillary permeability of concrete in dry hot climates, it is sufficient to subject the samp les to 60 cycles of preliminary alternate heating and cooling, followed by testing in a climate chamber for capillary suction of a salt solution at a temp erature of 40°C and a relative air humidity of 30%.
