Abstract

Due to increasing of accuracy requirements for the aircraft position determining by the using of autonomous navigation systems, the task of inertial system development becomes more and more urgent. In this paper considered the possibility of using of fiber optic gyroscope based on Sagnac effect and fiber optic accelerometers in Aircraft inertial systems. As shown in the paper, fiber optic gyroscopes allows small angles measurement more accurate than currently used ring laser gyroscopes. In addition these gyroscopes are chipper, more compact and reliable. Also using of fiber optic accelerometers in aircraft inertial system advantages are shown.
