Abstract
Considered one-dimensional exciton state in a size-quantized semiconductor wire in a uniform magnetic field. Obtained mathematical model of the effective Coulomb potential, the interaction of an electron and a hole, and the Schrodinger equation for determining the binding energy. The dependences of the effective potential and the binding energy of an exciton on the magnetic field are numerically investigated for various values of the parameter, which depends on the ratio of the radius and the type of wire materials.
