Abstract

The article presents the results on the development of a circuit solution for effective regulation of pumping station productivity, which allows achieving smooth start-up modes and energy-efficient control of pumping units by regulating the speed of their drive asynchronous motors. The diagram represents a control system for pumping units with two subsystems, one of which is a common frequency converter, and the other is a control unit for motor valves of pressure pipelines. The scheme makes it possible to ensure the rational use of hydropower resources by maintaining the required pressure in the main pipeline and smoothly changing the pump performance by means of a frequency-controlled electric drive. This is achieved by saving the supplied water at each of the control stages and reducing the specific consumption of electrical energy per unit volume of pumped water, as well as practically eliminating hydraulic shocks in the "pump - pressure network" system.
