Abstract

This article shows the characteristics of the Web Application Firewall and a comparison with other security systems. The functions of WAF that differ from the protective systems of previous generations are compared. The most well-known additional features of modern application-level security screens are listed. Interaction with vulnerability scanners is shown. The user rules for detecting illegitimate requests are given.
