Abstract

Uzbekistan is one of the developing countries. In recent years Uzbekistan paying attention to renewable energy projects. There is a vast potential for renewable energy sources in Uzbekistan. In Uzbekistan, some rural areas are not connected to the electric grid system to this day. According to [1] some estimates for about 1500 rural settlements of 1.5 million people are not properly connected to the central power grid system. However, the electricity demand is increasing year by year in Uzbekistan. Over 65 percent of the population in Uzbekistan lives in rural areas. Therefore, biomass energy, small photovoltaic panels, and small wind turbines can ensure the sufficiency and stability of energy supplies for these people [2]. Renewable energy potential in Uzbekistan is estimated to be significant, but hydropower is not yet exploited on a larger scale.
