LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR VIOLATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION: LEGAL ISSUES
Abstract
This article explores the role and significance of the institution of legal liability for violations of environmental legislation. On the basis of scientific and legal judgments, the essence of legal responsibility in the system of environmental policy of the state is substantiated. The author pays special attention to the definition of such concepts as "responsibility", "social responsibility", "legal responsibility", "legal responsibility for environmental offenses". The paper analyzes the issues of classification of legal liability for environmental offenses based on the specific features of environmental legislation, and also proposes a classification of environmental legal liability. The general and specific features of environmental offenses are analyzed, taking into account the directions of environmental and legal relations. Conclusions on the development of the draft Environmental Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan are formulated.
