Scientific-theoretical approaches to the relationship between poverty reduction and economic growth
Abstract
The article examines the recommendations of world-class scholars on the relationship between poverty reduction and economic growth. While many developing countries have levels of inequality similar to or lower than those in developed countries, a number of studies using cross-country data have found that growth has neither positive nor negative effects on inequality. Country case studies also show that rapid and sustainable growth will accelerate the process of halving the global share of people living on less than $1 a day. Strong growth and employment opportunities improve parents' incentives to invest in their children's education. The article provides conclusions on the impact of several economic growth on poverty reduction by studying the research of foreign scientists.
