Abstract

Condition and movement of the cotton mass in the drum sections have been theoretically studied on the basis of a solid body model. Considering the height of the drying drums and the angle of inclination, the movement schemes of the cotton section were selected. For this, a mathematical model was developed and calculations were performed. The constructed equations were solved and graphs of radial displacement and velocities of the cotton mass in the drum blade were obtained. The law of cotton mass movement at the angular velocities of the drying drum is obtained. The values of the start and end angles of motion between the blades were determined. Therefore, this article is devoted to determining the regularity of movement on the surface of the paddles during the ascent to the top of the cotton drying drum. Based on the analysis of the calculation results, it is shown that the law of motion of the cotton mass along the surface of the paddle is directly related to the rotational speed of the drum. It has been shown that as the speed of rotation of the drum increases, the initial and final times of separation of the cotton mass from the paddle increase at the same time. If the speed of rotation of the drum is high, the speed of the mass outside the paddles can become zero. We assumed that it is possible to control the movement of cotton in the drying drum, knowing the time of movement of cotton on the shovels.
