Abstract

The article discusses the influence of gossypol azomethines on the antioxidant activity of polypropylene (PP) and the induction period of polymer oxidation. Thermostabilizing activity of the studied compounds during the thermal oxidation of PP was determined and the inhibiting groups that are involved in the inhibition of the thermal-oxidative degradation of the polymer at high temperatures were identified.
