Abstract

In the present paper, we talk about construction of an optimal interpolation formula in a certain Hilbert space. We obtain the optimal interpolation formula applying the discrete analogue of the differential operator. Using the coefficients of the optimal interpolation formula we get two sets of basis functions. We show that the optimal interpolation formula and linear combinations of basis functions are exact for trigonometric functions sin(ωx) amd cos(ωx).
