Abstract

The paper explores the application of discrete cosine transformation for image analysis and filtering using both conventional and quantum-inspired methods. The benefits and drawbacks of each method for processing thumbnail photos have been discussed. Research is being done on the application of quantum-inspired algorithms for image processing, which are based on simulating quantum circuits. It is suggested to use threshold clipping of high-frequency conversion coefficients to eliminate noise from pictures. The outcomes of the quantum-inspired approach were identical to those of the classical approach, although it might work better on quantum devices. You may compare the filtration efficiency of the two approaches by visualizing the testing results.
