Abstract

The article provides materials on the general state of pasture lands in Uzbekistan. The agrochemical and mechanical properties of sandy-desert soils of the Bukhara region have been studied. The materials on the climatic conditions of the arid zone are summarized.Agrochemical properties show that the humus composition is very depleted and ranges from 0.372 to 0.600% of the upper horizons, the mobile forms of P2O5 in the upper horizons range from 23.0 to 32.0 mg/kg, the mobile forms of K2O in the upper horizon range from 216.7 to 240 .8mg/kg, mobile forms of sodium nitrate in the upper horizon ranges from N-NO3 to 10.2 to 17.4 mg/kg of soil.To the lower horizons, agrochemical properties gradually decrease. The soils are low-gypsum (0.088-0.132%) and medium-calcareous (6.0-6.8%).The correlation between humus and phosphorus is r=0 0.811 (y= 52.993x + 0.8252), between humus and potassium is very low and amounted to r= 0.371 (y= 263.16x + 75.677), between humus and nitrogen is low and amounted to r= 0.552 (y= 0.0528x + 0.011).
