Abstract

Literature review is an important aspect of any scientific research. It shows well the knowledgeability of a researcher in a particular area and reveals possible paths that could be undertaken to add something new to the existing body of knowledge. This paper critically evaluates Foody’s (2019) “Teachers’ awareness of Pupil Premium students through their lesson planning and delivery” PhD thesis literature review. It will discuss strengths and limitations of the research gap identification and outline the author’s novel contribution to knowledge.
