Abstract

The present study investigated the antiradical activity of ethanolic extracts of mixtures of common tansy (Tanacetum vulgare L.) and field horsetail (Equisetum arvense L.) at different component ratios (1:1, 1:3, 3:1) using the optimized DPPH assay. The kinetics of radical inhibition were evaluated and IC₅₀ values were calculated. All extracts demonstrated dose- and time-dependent antiradical activity. The highest activity was observed for the 3:1 mixture (AOF% = 21.33 ± 0.88%), which also showed the lowest IC₅₀ value (231.52 µL). The results indicate a synergistic enhancement of antioxidant activity in compositions with a predominance of Tanacetum vulgare and suggest its potential as a promising natural source of antioxidants.
