Mass Spectrum and Decay of Mesons within the Framework of the Bilocal Relativistic Potential Model
Abstract
The mass spectrum of pseudoscalar and vector mesons was determined within the framework of the relativistic potential model. The interquark potential was chosen as a sum of the oscillatory and Coulomb-like potentials. Constants for lepton decays were calculated, and the results obtained were found to be in quantitative agreement with the available experimental data. The model was also used to calculate the spectrum of the electron in the two-dimensional space approximation. Energy values and types of wave functions for potential bound states of electrons were obtained, which could be useful for understanding the quantum Hall effect.
