INTEGRATION OF COMPETENCY-BASED AND INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACHES IN CAREER GUIDANCE OF STUDENTS IN TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION CLASSES

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop and scientifically substantiate a didactic model based on the integration of competency-based and interdisciplinary approaches in guiding students toward career orientation in technology classes. A комплекс methodological approach was employed, including literature analysis, comparative analysis, a systems approach, modeling, pedagogical observation, and practical analysis. The findings indicate that the competency-based approach fosters students’ ability to apply knowledge in practical contexts, while the interdisciplinary approach promotes the development of integrated and systemic thinking through the combination of knowledge from different subject areas. The didactic model developed on the basis of integrating these approaches significantly enhances students’ professional interest, independent thinking, and practical preparedness. The results confirm that an interdisciplinary, competency-based approach within technology education serves as an effective pedagogical mechanism for preparing students for conscious career choice.
