Abstract
The main optical and geometric characteristics of mirror concentrating systems (MCSs) that are used for technological and energy purposes and the features of the formation of the density of the solar flux depending on the remoteness of an object from the Sun are defined. The results are presented of the calculation of the optimum conditions of the solar-energy concentration for ground-based and space-based applications, where the achievable characteristics of MCS manufacturing are considered.
