Spectroscopy of phonons in tin and indium superconducting point-contacts
Аннотация
Tin and indium point-contacts in the normal and superconducting states were studied. The second derivatives of the current–voltage characteristics and of the voltage dependence of the excess current in the point-contact were measured. The measurements were performed for different fixed values of the temperature and magnetic field intensity. Features due to the electron–phonon interaction were observed in the spectra of clean contacts in the superconducting state. It is shown that as the parity of the metal decreases it becomes more difficult to resolve the features produced by the electron–phonon interaction in the second derivatives of the current–voltage characteristics of superconducting contacts.
