Point-contact spectroscopy of platinum
Аннотация
The point-contact spectra of electron–phonon interaction (EPI) in platinum are measured. The point contact EPI function gpc(ω), one of the transport versions of the thermodynamic EPI function g(ω) that has hitherto been unknown, is reconstructed. The reproducibility of the results is illustrated and the spread of the experimental data is described. Characteristics of a Pt–Cu heterojunction are described. The function gpc(ω) is compared with the most reliable functions of the phonon density of state. The fine structure of the pointcontact spectra is observed and the effect of EPI anisotropy is revealed. The point-contact and thermodynamic EPI functions in platinum are calculated from first principles by taking into account the relative effect within the Dirac equation formalism. With the help of these calculations, the nature of the observed fine structure of gpc(ω) is determined. Absolute values of gpc(ω) and EPI parameter are estimated. The average and mean-square frequencies are determined.
