Аннотация
It is shown that under the conditions of anomalous skin effect in metals with a smooth surface, weakly attenuating waves appear due to multichannel specular reflection of charge carriers. Such waves are not observed in samples with a rough surface. The amplitudes of these waves and the nature of their attenuation in the bulk of metal are very sensitive to the polarization of an electromagnetic wave incident on the metal. The velocity of propagation of the waves coincides with the maximum and minimum velocities of an electron along the normal to the sample boundary in the region of variation of the number of channels of specular reflection on the Fermi surface.
