It is shown that the phonon drag and the asymmetry in heat release in metallic point contacts (PC) introduced in a strong magnetic field are very sensitive to the ratio of PC apertures for phonons and electrons. A distinguishing feature of the proposed mathematical model of PC is that the diameter d of the PC aperture for electrons is assumed to be much smaller than the diameter D of the aperture for phonons. In this case, the application of a magnetic field to a PC may considerably increase the phonon drag thermoemf in the PC (by a factor of D/d2).
