Overlapping resonances in the -parameter spectrum
Аннотация
Symmetry reversals and fluctuations of both width and intensity have so far been regarded as characteristic of interacting resonances in photoabsorption spectroscopy. It is demonstrated for the first time that they can also appear in the -parameter spectrum, which then becomes generally different in appearance from the corresponding photoionization spectrum. Indeed, not only the location of the symmetry reversals, but even their number within a series differ between both spectra, and intensity fluctuations present in one spectrum can be absent from the other. Our study is performed within the `spin-polarized' random-phase approximation with exchange.
