COMPLICATIONS IN FOOD BOTULISM (literature review)
Аннотация
Respiratory disorders are one of the causes of death in foodborne botulism. Complications of food botulism are often associated with acute respiratory failure, although this is a natural stage of botulinum intoxication. Complications of food botulism can be divided into two categories: the first category - secondary bacterial complications (pneumonia, tracheobronchitis, bronchitis, pyelonephritis, etc.), and the second - iatrogenic (drug allergies, such as serum sickness, dysbiosis, etc.). In the absence of inadequacy of therapeutic measures, acute respiratory failure and pneumonia (both isolated, and in combination with each other) were and most often are the main causes of adverse outcomes in botulism.
