Using a Combination of Otsu Segmentation, Cubic Spline, and Gaussian Filter in Ultrasonography Image Processing for Gallbladder Stone Identification
Аннотация
One of the main objectives of this research work is to improve the accuracy of the medical image of the gallbladder obtained from the ultrasound medical diagnostic apparatus by digital processing. In order to accurately determine the presence of gallstones, it is necessary to remove the noise added by various internal and external factors and to identify the structural boundaries. This process determines the practical significance of the research. In this case, a combination of segmentation, interpolation and filtering methods is proposed. To remove the noise, a technique based on a digital filtering method that preserves image features was created. Cubic spline interpolation was used to remove the blurring that occurs during the filtering process and restore the fine features and boundaries of the image. Gallstones were automatically separated using a highly accurate Otsu segmentation approach. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology was proven based on practical experiments and computational results. Clear visualization of gallstones was ensured and the quality of diagnosis significantly increased. The superiority of the method was scientifically evaluated based on metric indicators.
