Models of entropy encoding of television images in video information systems
Аннотация
The article discusses the entropy encoding models of television images used in modern video information systems. A comparative analysis of the most effective data compression methods based on statistical patterns of distribution of brightness and color components of television frames is carried out. Special attention is paid to the implementation of Huffman algorithms, arithmetic coding, and context-adaptive models used in the latest generation of codecs. Mathematical models and software implementations of entropy coding have been developed to improve the efficiency of transmission and storage of video information while maintaining visual quality. The presented solutions are focused on applications in digital television, video surveillance systems and intelligent visual data processing.
