Аннотация

This study investigates short-term atmospheric variability in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, over the period August 15–25, 2025 (DOY 227–237), using ERA5 reanalysis data. Ten key parameters, including surface air temperature and precipitation, were analyzed to place present-day weather conditions within a broader climatological context. The ERA5 dataset, produced by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) through the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), represents a cornerstone of modern climate monitoring and is widely applied in hydrology and environmental studies. Its use in near-real-time applications, particularly for precipitation estimation, highlights the need for rigorous evaluation against in situ observations to ensure accuracy and reliability. The results underscore both the value of ERA5 as a proxy for observational data and the importance of ongoing validation efforts. Such assessments are critical for enhancing confidence in reanalysis products and for supporting evidence-based decision-making in climate science, resource management, and policy development.
