Аннотация

This article deals with the issue of appropriate wireless technology in the choice of critical infrastructure monitoring. The introduction describes the growing use of technologies like wireless sensor networks in creating dependable surveillance of different essential and significant structures. The inability to find a unified framework of comparing popular standards, including NB-IoT is specifically addressed in the problem statement section. There are LTE-M and LoRa, ZigBee, and GPRS with their advantages and possible drawbacks. The answer to this question lies in the fact that a uniformly structured approach, in which the main technical features of the technologies mentioned above are introduced, are developed. The proposed method can enable the creation of various tables, graphs, and charts visually demonstrating performance under identical conditions. This method provides a tool for engineers and other decision makers to compare wireless technologies with the operational requirements for monitoring critical infrastructure.
