Analysis of Optical Sensor Parameters Using Artificial Intelligence Applications

The article presents the results of optical sensor parameter calculations using artificial intelligence applications. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in optical communications is an important area of development of modern telecommunication technologies. The use of machine learning methods and neural networks allows automating the design and management of optical networks, optimizing resource allocation, improving service quality, and predicting equipment failures. AI is actively used for dynamic traffic routing, adapting transmission parameters, monitoring the state of fiber-optic lines, and creating digital twins of networks. In the future, AI technologies will ensure the construction of autonomous, self-governing optical systems, which is especially important for the development of 5G/6G networks, cloud platforms, and the Internet of Things. The article compares the sensitivity of PIN and APD photodetectors used in optical communication systems. The minimum received optical power (Prec) was calculated for different data rates (1, 2.5, 10, 25 Gbps) with a target BER = 10<sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">−9</sup>. The sensitivity dependences on the transmission rate and the APD gain relative to PIN were constructed.
