The increasing number of vehicles worldwide and their intensive traffic have caused many problems such as traffic accidents and traffic management. To prevent such problems, intelligent transportation system solutions are gradually being promoted in the transportation sector. At these stages, information transmission networks are of great importance. This study analyzes scientific papers aimed at using information transmission networks to ensure the safety of vehicles. Based on the signal-to-noise ratio and distance between vehicles acting as nodes, an algorithm for transmitting basic information on vehicle safety is proposed, which can reduce the average delay of information packets and increase the delivery ratio. Based on the created simulation model, the proposed algorithm has an average delay time of up to 11 ms, an average delay time of transmission of each message between nodes of up to 3.3 ms, and an increase in packet delivery ratio of up to 2%. This was achieved by considering the distance between nodes, signal-to-noise ratio, and competition window distribution mechanism.
