Аннотация

This article comprehensively analyzes ovarian cancer, one of the most complex problems of gynecological oncology. The article covers the morphological classification of the disease, in particular, the histological features of epithelial and non-epithelial tumors and the mechanisms of their development. Special attention is also paid to the clinical features associated with the latent course of symptoms in the early stages of the disease and the difficulties in differential diagnosis. The main part of the article is devoted to the assessment of the effectiveness of modern screening methods, including the CA-125 tumor marker, transvaginal ultrasound and multimodal approaches. The article also discusses innovative strategies for disease prevention through the identification of hereditary predisposition (BRCA1/2 genes) and the importance of preventive surgery. The study findings indicate the need for an integrated approach to early detection of ovarian cancer and improving patient survival.
