PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND CAREER FOR GRADUATES OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE LABOR MARKET

The article is devoted to the study of the transformation of the functional role of the modernuniversity in the context of the dynamically changing labor market of Uzbekistan. Based on amixed methodological approach—quantitative surveys of students and qualitative interviewswith employers—the structural causes of the gap between the academic training of graduatesand the requirements of the labor market are examined, and a conceptual model of an integratedcareer center providing full-cycle employment support is proposed. The obtained results suggesta transition from episodic employment support activities to systematic, structurally embeddedcareer support associated with a significant increase in graduates’ readiness for professionalactivity.
