Recent developments in wireless technology and computing have given rise to two new and promising perspectives: the fifth generation (5G) wireless network and Internet of Things (IoT). If we take a closer look at these technologies, they together play an important role in the digitalization of industry and the design of smart industries. This article provides information on the key potentials and concepts of the 5G-based digitization industry, as well as the relevant usage conditions and requirements. In addition, the article presents some of the key blocks of 5G and some important issues that have not yet been resolved and their solutions.
