The healthcare system is one of the rapidly developing areas where technical and technological innovations are introduced in the first place. Remote monitoring systems for patients, people requiring special care, and people who want to control their health are gaining more and more popularity, especially in recent years. Remote monitoring systems are diverse; in this paper, we have combined all possible systems and classified the architecture of the structure of these systems from the point of view of healthcare informatics. Remote monitoring systems are classified according to the nodes' interaction features, to the distribution of system functions, as well as according to the algorithms for the functioning of the system.
