Аннотация

A method to determine the critical Rayleigh number Racr for the closed air layer of the light-absorbing heat-exchange panel-transparent cover system of flat-plate solar thermal collectors is proposed based on the solution of a modified correlation equation suggested by Hollands et al. [3]. This method can be used to determine the thermal-engineering optimal thickness of the layer considered within the 20–60° range of its tilt to the horizon.
