Аннотация
It is demonstrated that transverse focusing of electrons in a metal by a magnetic field parallel to the surface is possible in the case where the dimensions of roughness significantly exceed the interatomic distances. The effective electrons then do not belong to the extremal diameters of the Fermi surface. Study of this effect can provide information on intervalley transitions occurring in collisions of electrons with the surface, as well as information on the relative location of different valleys in the inverse lattice cell.
