Аннотация

An analysis is made of a model of tunnel current flow through amorphous diamond-like carbon. It is shown that single-electron phenomena may occur in this medium which result in the appearance of specific features on the current-voltage characteristics of thin amorphous carbon films. The model is used to explain the tunnel spectra of diamond-like carbon and the size of a graphite-like cluster is estimated.
