Аннотация
This study explores how international standards shape English language teaching (ELT) and assessment, with a focus on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), IELTS, and TOEFL. By examining curriculum design, classroom practices, and standardized testing, the paper highlights the advantages of aligning instruction with global benchmarks, including increased transparency, comparability, and learner motivation. Challenges such as local adaptation, teacher training, and resource limitations are also discussed. The findings emphasize that thoughtful integration of international standards enhances both educational quality and measurable learning outcomes.
