Exciton-phonon interaction in rare gas crystals
Annotatsiya
The theoretical concepts concerning scattering and self-localization of electronic excitations in rare gas crystals, for which the exciton-phonon interaction is deformational, are analyzed. The basic theoretical expressions and relations are expressed in a form convenient for further discussion of absorption and luminescence data for xenon, krypton, argon, and neon crystals. The exciton bandwidths in rare gas crystals are investigated. Experimentai luminescence and absorption data are analyzed, and it is shown that they can be interpreted in terms of the theory of exciton-phonon interaction.
