Annotatsiya

Surface plasma oscillations of the electron system at the metal-insulator-semiconductor junction (MIS) are considered for the case when an ionic crystal layer with a considerable dispersion in permittivity serves as the dielectric. It is shown that at frequencies within the range of polariton oscillations of the ionic crystal, the interaction between plasma oscillations and polariton waves induces short-wave r.f. oscillations with a group velocity s ∼ 106 − 108 cm/s.
