The approximations of the magnetization curve by incomplete polynomials of odd degree and the active loss curve are discussed, and also an estimate of the error in these approximations is provided in the article. The possibility of replacing the nonlinear resistance (conductivity) in mathematical modeling of a coil with a ferromagnetic core with linear resistance (conductivity) is shown. The conditions under which this replacement is possible for nonlinear coils used in parametric voltage stabilizers of ferroresonance and parametric nature are analyzed, and the value of relative errors arising during this replacement is estimated. The estimation of the error due to the lack of consideration in the solution of all harmonic components of the nonlinear current is made. It is shown that under the worst conditions, the relative error of the calculation will be much less than the error of the mathematical model used, the maximum value of which is determined by the error of approximation of the magnetization curve of the coil magnetic core material.
