ALGORITHM OF MORPHOLOGICAL RESEARCH OF NODULAR FORMATIONS OF THYROID GLANDS

The results of morphological studies of 368 patients with thyroid nodules were analyzed. According to the results of the study, it was determined that PTAB is the only minimally invasive method of preoperative morphological diagnostics that allows verifying structural changes in the thyroid gland. Based on the results obtained, we concluded that this diagnostic method was informative at the preoperative stage, which was 89.1% in the comparison group and 90.6% in the main group. The use of intraoperative express biopsy allowed to increase the informativeness of morphological studies intraoperatively to 94.4%. When combined with TPAB and express biopsy results, the information content increased to 98.1%
