At present, a competency-based approach is being fixed in the education system of Uzbekistan, as a result of which the conditions of activity are also changing (in particular, innovative educational technologies are being widely disseminated). This requires the teacher to be active, independent, initiative, able to make difficult decisions and responsible for them. In this regard, there is a need to study the features of the professional competence of the teacher.
