Annotatsiya

People who wish to engage in a leisure activity often do not have certain information about available destinations, facilities, and recreational events. Furthermore, they have their own specific needs and options, especially regarding connectivity and accessibility. Therefore, they do not want to spend excessive time and effort collecting information about available options instead of actually enjoying their experience. Besides, the economic and social dimensions of tourism planning and infrastructure development studies have significant importance on regional economies all over the world, particularly for nations whose tourism sector is becoming a bigger share of their total GDP and employment opportunities. This study aims to develop a decision-making model for tourism development candidates with regards to their individual expectations and preferences about connectivity and sustainable tourism. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and network analysis methods are used in this study to analyze the problem. The proposed framework was built in three main phases: data collection, prioritization of factors, and communication hub optimization. The AHP method was used for prioritizing the related criteria obtained from the tourism development candidates, and then network analysis was used for assessing connectivity preferences of tourists and operators. Finally, a recommendation to the decision-makers is made with the most appropriate strategies for communication infrastructure development.
