Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as an innovative mode in Civil Engineering, which is almost the modern epoch of alteration especially in education and implementation built environment like smart structures. This paper analyses the utilization of AI Technologies for sustainability enhancement in civil engineering projects. Putting AI in the 'how' to smartify structures that are both eco-efficient and delivers activism. SMART structures are capable of real time monitoring on the properties with varying behavior due to using sensor, data analytics and AI algorithms in harmony. These technologies enable predictive maintenance, energy optimization and dynamic response to forces.In addition! Embedded sensors, provide continuous updates to AI models that then predict future failures and as a result lengthen the life-cycle of structures in addition to reducing maintenance costs. This functioning is the most valuable from a sustainability aspect, simply because it preserves resources and save waste. Energy efficiency is a critical benefit of AI in smart buildings. The system, using AI, can operate the lights and adjust heating/cooling to suit occupancy data as well as light usage patterns. This action can contribute to the decrease in energy waste, and over a period of time, help reduce the carbon footprint from construction buildings. AI can also integrate renewables more effectively into the system with their variability of using renewable energy and stability in power supply. It then describes the benefits AI provides in reinforcing buildings and infrastructure to make them more secure.
