Annotatsiya

Despite having a significant economic influence, the construction sector struggles with inefficiencies and low productivity. Although automated and autonomous systems have the capacity to tackle these issues, their use in the construction industry is still comparatively restricted. The widespread use of these advancements in the construction sector is hampered by industry-specific constraints, which are examined in this article. This study uses a mixed research design that includes an online survey, three focus groups with twenty-eight experts each, and qualitative and quantitative collection and analysis of data along with a comprehensive assessment of the literature. The found variables were classified, exposing hidden linkages, using main element and correlation analysis. Four main issue categories emerged from the subsequent investigation: deficiencies in the business case, contractor-side financial considerations, on the client-side economic reasons, and technical and work-culture concerns. After ranking these categories according to relevance, little correlation was found between the characteristics. This study adds to a deeper understanding of the sector-specific difficulties preventing the use of autonomous systems and robotics in the construction industry. The purpose of the insights offered is to help stakeholders create mitigation measures that work.
