Historical Development of Terminology and Lexis of the Uzbek Language

This article analyzes the lexical and terminological system of the Uzbek language from a comparative-philological perspective based on the stages of its historical development. The study comprehensively examines lexical changes, external linguistic influences, semantic expansions, and the formation of national terminology from the ancient Turkic period to modern Uzbek. Particular attention is given to the qualitative lexical changes of the twentieth century, analyzed in close connection with socio-political, economic, and cultural processes. The results of the research have theoretical and practical significance for the fields of historical linguistics and comparative philology.
