The boundary conditions for describing the diffusion mass transfer from low-pressure acetylene atmospheres to steel during carburizing are analyzed.The effect of the process temperature on the carbon concentration on the surface of the studied steel grades is shown.The dependences of the mass transfer coefficient in Langmuir's expression (a boundary condition of the third kind) on the temperature of vacuum carburizing are established.
