Surface defects and skyrmions in magnetoelectric bilayers
Annotatsiya
We study in this paper a model of magnetic film consisting of ferroelectric and magnetic monolayers with various competing interactions. It is shown that the presence of a hole-shaped defect in upper ferroelectric monolayer leads to skyrmions generation in the lower layer in a local region exactly under the defect. Interlayer interaction allows skyrmions stabilization in a wide range of fields. We have studied the influence of magnetoelectric interaction, defect size and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction on ground state spin configurations in interacting layers with a triangular lattice structure.
