Annotatsiya

Abstract This study explores the pivotal role of agriculture in the economic development and food security of Uzbekistan. It examines the outcomes of recent agricultural reforms, the rise of agro-industrial clusters, and the growth trends across crop and livestock production. Utilizing a secondary data and content analysis approach, the paper analyzes official data from 2019 to 2024, drawn from national statistical sources, to assess productivity dynamics, technological integration, and regional variations. Results indicate a consistent increase in agricultural output despite reductions in cultivated land area, with diversification and cluster-based farming contributing significantly to export potential and employment. The findings underscore the sector’s contribution to GDP and its critical function in addressing food security and rural economic resilience. This research highlights the transformative impact of modernization efforts and provides policy-relevant insights for sustainable agricultural development in Uzbekistan.
